EEP311: Foundations of Dual Language Learning - Birth to Age Eight – 3 credits

Examination of the needs of dual language learners birth to grade three. Includes comparison and evaluation of various language educational models with a focus on asset based behaviors and expectations, integrated and targeted dual language instruction. Covers legal and historical foundations and current issues. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in EED200 or permission of Instructor and (formal admission to an undergraduate educator preparation program or declaration of the BA in Early Childhood Education - Dual Language program or permission of Department or Division).
