DMS210: Concepts of Vascular Imaging – 3 credits

Vascular physics and terminology. Application of imaging concepts to arterial, venous, and cerebrovascular ultrasound. Normal, abnormal and pathologic states of human vascular anatomy. Review and demonstration of selected scanning protocols to include extremity, cerebral vascular systems, and abdominal duplex. Prerequisites: Admission to Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
