– 3 credits
Emphasis on response of bodies to the action of forces. Elementary analytical and practical approach to the principles and physical concepts of statics, focuses on mastery of basic principles of trigonometry, application of vectors and forces, and moments, with analysis of basic structures and structural components, trusses, shear and moment diagrams, centroids, and moments of inertia. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in MAT15+, [MAT182 or (MAT187 or MAT188)], and PHY111.

- Notes: Class 24475 Final exam will be delivered in person on the week of final exams.
Both lecture and lab will be delivered in person.
Students must have textbook for the first class period.
Class participation, discussion and interaction is taken into grade account..
All assignments must include diagrams, equations, work/math and solutions for full credit.
