Study of the fundamentals and characteristics of Big Data. Evaluation of existing Big Data processing platforms and tools. Developing skills to handle and implement Big Data projects, including machine learning concepts. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in CIS256, CIS256DA, CIS262AD and CIS318, or permission of Instructor.
