Exploration of cultural diversity and its potential impact on behaviors, emotions, cognitions and perceptions, relationships, and values. Intercultural communication skills through the examination of cultural and racial diversity, sexual and gender identity, social justice, and religious and spiritual diversity. Consideration of its implications for the therapeutic process and the importance of self-awareness and effective communication skills for professionals in the behavioral health and social sciences.
