A practical insight into the rules of evidence. Examines the general rules governing admissibility of evidence. Explores types of evidence, the hearsay rule, witness testimony, the exclusionary rule, privileged communications, best evidence rule. Examination of chain of custody and the use of scientific evidence. Prerequisites: None.
