Geological Disasters and the Environment (GLG110IN) 4 Credits

Acquaints students with the use and importance of geological studies as they apply to the interactions between people and the Earth. Includes geological processes and hazards such as earthquakes, volcanoes, floods and landslides. Examines environmental impact and use of mineral and energy resources. Prerequisites: None. Note: Enrollment in both a GLG110IN lecture section and a GLG110IN laboratory section is required.

      All of your assignments and work will be internet based without set meeting days or times to attend. Students and faculty interact with Canvas via email, video, and threaded discussions. A lot of your work will be self-paced, but there are establish deadlines and expectations.
      REQUIRED: Student MUST register for both GLG110IN 11413 LEC and GLG110IN 11414 LAB at the same time.
      Students are required to download and use Respondus LockDown Browser + Monitor which requires a webcam and microphone. Chromebooks do not support this software.
