The study and principles of structure and function of organisms at the molecular and cellular levels. A detailed exploration of the chemistry of life, the cell, and genetics. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in RDG100, or RDG100LL, or higher, or eligibility for CRE101. One year of high school or one semester of college-level biology and chemistry is strongly recommended.

      Class 15511 is offered concurrently with BIO 181 class 15512 LAB (ONLINE); students MUST register for both BIO 181 Class 15511 LEC and BIO 181 class 15512 at the same time.
      Students are required to download and use Respondus LockDown Browser + Monitor which requires a webcam and microphone. Chromebooks do not support this software.
      All textbook and course materials available at no or low cost (<$40) - may include OER (Open Educational Resources).
