Intermediate Spanish I (SPA201) 4 Credits

Continued study of essential Spanish grammar and Spanish-speaking cultures. Continued practice and development of reading, writing, and speaking skills in Spanish. Emphasis on fluency and accuracy in spoken Spanish. Prerequisites: A grade of "C" or better in SPA102, or SPA102AA, or SPA111, or permission of Department or Division. Completion of prerequisites within the last three years is required.

    • Class Notes: This class meets for an 8-week period during the full length semester. Students should expect an increased amount of work each week during the 8 weeks as compared to the same class offered in the full semester. Students are encouraged to work with an academic advisor to be sure their course load is balanced over the course of a given semester.
      ONLINE CLASS. All classwork can be completed entirely online.
      This class is designed for students wanting to complete the four class SPA sequence in only two semesters. Students who completed the SPA 101/102 classes in the fall should register for this class.
      This course requires the use of a computer or mobile device with internet access, a webcam, speakers and microphone.
      All textbook and course materials available at no or low cost (<$40) - may include OER (Open Educational Resources).
