INT260: Interior Codes and Regulations – 3 credits

Study of interior building codes, regulations, and standards and their impact on the health, safety, and welfare of the public. Emphasis on occupancy classifications, means of egress, fire protection, finish/furniture standards and testing, and Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG). This course is an exploration of codes and regulations as it pertains to the application of interior design projects. A grade of C or better required in all Prerequisites. Prerequisites or Corequisites: INT140 or ARC141 or permission of Program Director.
