Overview of ecotourism planning and development with emphasis on contemporary issues associated with environmentally sound, culturally sensitive and economically viable tourism development. Examines the history and emergence of ecotourism and the establishment of policies and management practices associated with sustainable development that conserves natural resources while providing economic benefits. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in HRM110.
