Equine and Stable Management II (EQS264) 4 Credits

Advanced practical experience in horse and stable management. Practical and supervisory experience in daily stable operations that increase skill and knowledge level in the care and management of horses. Topics include nutrition, diseases and their prevention, environmental issues parasite, pests and rodent control, safety, horse handling, wounds and their treatments, injury and treatments, inventory control, record keeping, and industry-standard operating procedures. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in (EQS162 or EQS162VT) or permission of Department or Division.
