Reproductive anatomy and physiology; care and management of the breeding stallion; breeding procedures and artificial insemination. Care of pregnant mare; foaling procedures. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in EQS105, EQS120 or permission of Department or Division.

      Students in EQS 220 will be required to attend off-campus clinic sessions as announced by instructor. Students are responsible for transportation to off-site class sessions. Hybrid portion of class to be discussed on first day of class. Field trips will be held during the second 8 weeks of class.
      This course requires online proctoring. Students are required to have a computer they can download software onto, with internet access or an iPad with iOS10 or higher.
      Live Online Classes have live online sessions that meet on specific days and times. Attendance in these live online sessions is mandatory. Additional online work that is not synchronous may also be included during the duration the classes are offered and have set due dates for assignments. Students are required to have access to a computer or mobile device, and Internet access, unless otherwise specified.
