DAN290AA: Dance Conservatory I – 1 credit

An intensive course focusing on the theory and practice of dance technique including, but not limited to, ballet, modern dance, modern jazz, pilates, yoga and dance performance at the beginning level. Study of repertory and development of movement quality and performance skills. Includes an informal public showing of dance technique and performance skills. Prerequisites: None. Note: May be repeated for a total of three (3) credit hours.

    • Notes: The 1-credit Conservatory allows the student to take up to two classes from the list below each day. Students should work with the instructor for scheduling. Conservatory options: (1) M/W - Somatics, 8:30-9:30 am; Ballet, 9:45-11:15 am; Modern, 12:15-1:45 pm; Repertory, 2:00-3:30 pm. (2) T/Th - Somatics, 8:30-9:30 am; Jazz, 9:45-11:15 am; Hip Hop, 12:15-1:45 pm; Repertory, 2:00-3:30 pm.
