PAR102: Paralegal Research, Analysis, and Writing I – 3 credits

Introduction into legal research, analysis and writing. Covers legal research binding, persuasive authority, and use of legal citation. Includes components and use of case law and briefs in addition to use of secondary sources and digests. Also covers electronic legal research and research plans. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in (ENG101 or ENG107) and (BPC110 or CIS105) and (CRE101 or equivalent as indicated by assessment), or permission of Program Director.
