Engineering Problem Solving and Design (ECE103) 2 Credits

Fundamentals of the design process: engineering modeling, communication and problem-solving skills in a team environment. Emphasis on process-based improvements to the design process. Introduction to engineering as a profession. Note: Student may receive credit for only one of the following: ECE103 or ECE103EP. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in ECE102 or permission of Instructor or Division or Department Chair.

      Online classes do not meet at specific class times. Coursework must be completed according to deadlines. Students are required to have access to a computer or mobile device.
      Instructor will be available in the Computer Commons with all of the high-tech equipment PVCC has for approximately 12 hours per week. Students will need to come into the space at least twice during the semester during scheduled times (see below) or set up an alternate time to visit with the instructor. Hi-Tech Lab days and times: Monday & Thursday, 10:00 am -1:00 pm; Tuesday & Wednesday, 1:00 - 4:00 pm; other times by appointment.
      PLEASE NOTE: A face covering is not required to attend in-person class meetings. However, any individual who prefers to wear a mask on campus is supported to do so.
