HIM213: CPT and HCPCS Coding – 3 credits

Provides students with the foundation for using the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and the Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS). Topics include coding guidelines, healthcare reimbursement, coding technologies, ethical coding, and compliance issues. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in BIO202, HCC145, and HIM200.
