AVC185: 3D Modeling and Animation I – 3 credits

Basic concepts of 3D modeling. Anatomy of computer geometry; basic elements that make computer models-curves, surfaces, non-uniform rational basis spline (NURBS), and polygons. 3D translation, shading, materials, and rendering. A grade of C or better required in all Prerequisites. Prerequisites or Corequisites: AVC100 or permission of Instructor.

  • Digital Arts courses require the use of a computer (Multi-core Intel Processor, GPU, 16Gb RAM, 1TB Storage), internet access, a webcam, speakers and microphone. An entry-level graphics tablet is highly recommended.
    Students will be provided an Adobe Creative Cloud account tied to their MEID username for home use on PC or Mac computers (smartphone or tablet mobile devices are not supported) during the duration of this course. Students should review the minimum configuration requirements to run Adobe CC on their personal device at:

    Chromebooks and iPads are not supported.
