NUR172: Nursing Theory and Science II – 9 credits

Utilization of Nurse of the Future competencies to develop knowledge, skills, and attitudes to provide safe, quality patient care across the wellness-illness continuum in selected medical-surgical and mental health patients. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in (BIO202 and NUR152) or permission of Nursing Department Chair.

      Due to the impact of recent events, this class has been transitioned from in-person to hybrid. There will be in-person, on-campus classes, labs, simulations, and clinical days where applicable. The course scheduled time will need to be blocked out for virtual meetings, as well as for quizzes and exams. Students are required to have access to a computer or mobile device, internet access, a webcam, speaker, and microphone. Your faculty will provide you with a schedule for in-person classes, lab/simulation days and clinical (if available) as well as times that you will be required to be on campus or online.
