Considerations in scan sequences, specific choices in protocols including slice thickness, phase direction, flow compensation, and positioning criteria. Anatomical structures and plane that best demonstrates anatomy. Signal characteristics of normal and abnormal structures. Prerequisites: [(Certified by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography or in Radiation Therapy), or (certified by ARRT or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) in Nuclear Medicine), or Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or (Radiography or Nuclear Medicine student), or registry eligible graduate] and ICE233 and ICE264 with a grade of "C" or higher, or permission of Instructor.
