Introduction of Nurse of the Future competencies as a foundational framework for development of the professional nurse. Basic care concepts and the nursing process are utilized to meet the needs of adult and older adult patients. Prerequisites: Admission into the Nursing Program.

      Live Online classes have sessions that meet online on specific days and times. Attendance in these sessions will be at the direction of the instructor, and additional work will be required on the student's own time. This course requires the use of a computer or mobile device compatible with required courseware, internet access, a webcam, speakers and microphone.
      Class exams must be taken at the CGCC Testing Center or at any approved testing center. Approval of a site other than CGCC must be obtained from the instructor in advance.
      Hybrid classes combine a reduced amount of scheduled classroom time with required out-of-class learning activities, typically conducted online.
