    Class Meets for One (1) Week
    This class requires a 3-day / 2-night camping trip with a required day hike partially into the Grand Canyon. It is expected that students are in good physical shape and are able to go on a very strenuous hike. The hike involves a roundtrip distance of 6 miles and an elevation change of 2100 feet (equivalent of hiking to the top of Piestewa Peak twice). There is a mandatory meeting on Saturday, September 26 from 10 am to noon, prior to going on the field trip. This class is contingent upon the repair of the Transcanyon waterline and no bans on campfires.
