    • Class Notes: Paria Backpacking class is a five day, four night adventure hike through the narrows created by the Paria River, a tributary to the Colorado River. The 40 miles will begin near Page, Arizona and end at Lees' Ferry. Conditioning class PED103HK 14143 which meets in Spring 2015 is highly recommended, contact instructor for more information. Class fee of $66.00 covers permit, one night stay in lodge, and transportation. First class meeting is Monday, May 18 at 7:30pm-8:30pm in room FW-52.     • Class Notes: Camping and Rafting near Moab, Utah on the Colorado River.
      Four days and three nights of camping along the Colorado River. The class will do a one day of rafting on "class 4 and 5 rapids". The fees will cover one day rafting West Water Canyon, entrance fee into Arches National Park, campground fees, and transportation. In route to and from Moab the class will take side trips through Canon DeChelly and Monument Valley. Students will be responsible for own camping equipment and food. Side hiking for a total of 10-20 miles in both Arches National parks and Canyon DeChelly. First class meeting on June 25, 2015 at 7:30pm is required or you will be dropped from the class.     • Class Notes: Chevelon Canyon Lake Camping and Canoeing
      The Chevelon Canyon Lake is located about 15 miles West of Heber. Enjoy two nights of camping in the Pines by the lake under a full moon. The class will be loading equipment into canoes and canoeing across the lake to the campground. Class will also include instructions on how to paddle a canoe and a guided tour around the lake. Students must be able to swim 50 yards un-assisted. Special fee covers canoe and PFD rental and trained adventure guide. Students are required to provide their own food and camping equipment.
