      Field expedition to Tahiti and Moorea Islands to study the ecological and environmental principles and concepts of coral-reef communities, including the impact of humans. Course will take place over one week plus three introductory meetings. First meeting will be held on Friday, March 23, at 6:00pm in LS327. Second meeting (lecture and trip details) and third meeting (pool session) times to be determined. This course taught with SCUBA Diving/Advanced (PED201SU, one credit). Trip will take place July 7-17. Prerequisites: ability to swim/snorkel. Suggested: either BIO181 or BIO145. Lab fee of $1565 will pay for all housing, diving and meals in French Polynesia. Airfare will be arranged separately (approximately $1550). Deposit of $600 is due by April 1; full course fee due by May 31. A portion of the lab fee for this course is used to make deposits and secure group rates. Therefore, this portion of the lab fee ($600.00) is NOT refundable after a deadline of April 15.
