      Develop cave exploration skills and learn lighting systems and cave conservation essentials according to Leave No Trace (LNT) principles. Activities are conducted in active caves with ample time for cave exploration. Students spend one night camping at a campground. This course is for beginners: basic level of fitness is required. Trip departs from Scottsdale Community College. Trip dates: 10/26-10/27.       Experience top rope rock climbing in the local Phoenix mountains during two (2) full day sessions. This class will include instruction on safety, belaying, and climbing techniques. The course will be conducted outdoors on real rock, and students will have ample time to practice their skills. All rock climbing equipment (harness, helmet, climbing shoes) will be provided. This course is for both beginners and intermediate climbers. A basic level of fitness is required. Must have reliable transportation to meet at offsite locations. All details will be explained during first class orientation, which meets Tues., 11/5, from 8-9 pm in PE-137 (SCC). This is a one-time orientation meeting. Hiking to the summit is not mandatory: a basic level of fitness is required. Must have reliable transportation to meet at offsite locations and good hiking shoes. All details will be explained during first class orientation, which meets Tues., 11/5, 7-8 pm, in PE-137 (SCC). This is a one-time orientation meeting. Production for Motion Picture and Television (TCM135) 3 Credits

Introduction to elements of production for motion picture and television. Focuses on directing, crew responsibilities, camera operation, lenses, lighting and sound recording. Production of one film shoot and one video shoot required. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in TCM134, or permission of Department or Division.
