CAP Training Module 1 (CONT_ED100-93087) 0 Credits

This module includes four sessions: introduction to the counselor's role in the student career and academic planning; creating a college-going mission; understanding and working with diverse populations; and communicating effectively with diverse student populations. These sessions are designed for school counselors to develop an understanding of their role in developing college-going mission for all students, particularly students in poverty or facing barriers in postsecondary planning. Additionally the sessions help counselors develop approaches for communicating and working with high-poverty students and diverse populations to remove barriers to high aspirations and achievement.

SUN System The Shared Unique Number (SUN) System helps students identify courses that will directly transfer among Arizona's community colleges and three public universities. Using the SUN System, students can easily search for and enroll in courses that offer direct equivalency at other Arizona colleges and universities. SUN courses have their own unique course number and prefix listed alongside each college's course number.
