    • Class Notes: CGCC Note: Clowning entails a very specific skill set that is a valuable addition to performer's toolkit. This course will increase the student's ability to communicate with their body, a primary tool for the actor/performer. This will give a number of new special performance skills and tools to create original and unique artistic work and develop a more expressive and responsive body. Students will explore the history of the techniques of the clown, which predate text-based narrative theatre, and will foster a greater understanding of non-text-based theatre across cultures and periods.
      Final performance, Thursday, June 2.
Contact Instructor Brian Foley at brian.foley@cgc.edu or Director of Theatre Arts Tracy Miller at tracy.miller@cgc.edu for additional information.
