Survey of Computer Information Systems (CIS105) 3 Credits

Overview of computer technology, concepts, terminology, and the role of computers in business and society. Discussion of social and ethical issues related to computers. Use of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software. Includes uses of application software and the Internet for efficient and effective problem solving.       Online-Hybrid (OLH)
      This course is an Online-Hybrid (OLH) course, meaning that it has a scheduled meeting pattern. Students will meet with their instructor according to that schedule using an online video-conferencing tool of the instructor's choosing (e.g. Zoom, WebEx, Google Meet.) Access to the Internet and a student Gmail account are required, and a webcam is highly recommended. Prior to the start date, the instructor will contact the students via email or Canvas Conversations with details about actual meeting dates/times.
